Wandery is an iPhone app that reads the GPS coordinates and capture time stored in your travel photos, then builds a place-by-place timeline, a map and a travel story for you. It is free on the App Store.
It runs on iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later. There is no dedicated iPad layout.
It is free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. The app is supported by ads.
No. You can start right away without creating an account, and your records are stored only on your iPhone. iCloud sync is not used.
The core analysis finishes on your iPhone. Grouping places, building the timeline and recognising scenes all happen on the device. Photos leave the phone in only two cases. First, when you use AI polish, and only after you agree, up to 12 representative photos are resized to 768 pixels and sent. Second, when you create a share link, the photos are encrypted and uploaded to Apple CloudKit; the key that unlocks them travels in the link itself and is never stored on the server. Separately, turning coordinates into a street name sends only the coordinates to Apple.
AI polish and AI story share a limit of three uses per day, which resets at midnight. Watching a rewarded ad to the end refills the count, and you can refill up to three times a day, so the practical ceiling is twelve uses.
Yes. Since their place is unknown they are not plotted on the map or the timeline. They are collected into a single group called photos without location, placed on the last day.
It maps the areas you stay in most using the H3 hexagonal grid, then groups photos by place with a clustering method called DBSCAN. Both calculations run on the iPhone.
There are two ways. Saving a card image and posting it to Instagram or KakaoTalk uploads nothing. Creating a share link uploads the encrypted photos, and you choose when the link expires: three minutes, one day, seven days or thirty days. The default is seven days.
